Ashford in the Water is often referred to as the prettiest village in Derbyshire. Local pubs, restaurant and village shop are all within easy walking distance and the market town of Bakewell with its excellent shopping, restaurants, cafes and markets is only 2 miles away. On the outskirts of the small Derbyshire village of Holmesfield (not far from Dronfield) with its historic church and several pubs serving good food all within circa 1 mile, this self catering holiday cottage is ideally located at the gateway to the Peak District National Park. The historic country houses of Chatsworth, Hardwick Hall and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away, as are the market towns of Bakewell and Chesterfield.
